40 Years of Photos
The Batavia Campus was built in 1972.
The interior central staircase was added later on.
The Stuart Steiner Theatre was added in 1992.
Genesee opened the following five campus centers:
- Orleans in Albion, 1990
- Lakeville, 1992
- Warsaw, 1991 / relocated 2002
- Arcade, 1995 / renovated 2001
- Dansville, 2002, relocated 2012
- Medina opened in Fall 2007
The first campus was located on West Main St. in the old Valu Store.
Genesee's first president, Alfred C. O'Connell is joined by Barber Conable and Tony Zambito, one of the founding trustees.
The Alfred C. O'Connell Library has seen many changes and remains a front-runner in innovation in research and information technology.
Good librarians never lose their sense of humor.
WGCC continues to play tunes on whatever media is most modern.
Teaching technology remains a priority at GCC.
Graduation ceremonies throughout the years have been held at different locations. Today, the ceremony is held in the Zambito Gymnasium - the largest meeting space on campus to accomodate the usual 650+ graduates and their families.
