CIS120 - Advanced Microcomputer Applications

Credits: 3

Catalog Description: Advanced skill development to solve problems using common microcomputer software. Topics include desktop publishing, presentation software, advanced spreadsheet concepts, and database programming. Spring only. Prerequisite: CIS116.

Lecture: 3 hrs.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):
Upon the successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
1. Use advanced word processing application with proficiency. (Word)
2. Utilize advanced functions in spreadsheet software in the presentation and processing of data. (Excel)
3. Apply advanced techniques and forms within a database software package to organize and process data effectively. (Access)
4. Create sophisticated slideshow presentations using graphic presentation software (PowerPoint)
