THE206 - Advanced Projects in Theatre

Credits: 1

Catalog Description: Offers advanced opportunities to showcase talents and gain additional expertise in an aspect of theatre-playwriting, directing, acting, scene design, costume and makeup design, lighting design, sound design, properties design, stage management, or dramaturgy. Completed projects may be submitted to the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region II Festival. Prerequisite: THE101 or THE105, and THE103 and THE106, or permission of instructor.

Lecture: 1 hrs.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):
Upon the successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
1. Practice appropriate professional behaviors in project planning a performance.
2. Apply theatrical skills to an original completed project in performance or production.
3. Analyze critically, with reflection on, personal contributions to theatrical process and performance.
4. Discuss post-production processes (strikes, post-mortems) as part of a group.
