Fall 2018: First 8 Weeks
|March 05||2018 Fall Registration*|
Students who have earned at least 1 credit hour at Genesee Community College are eligible to register for Fall courses beginning on this date.
|March 12||2018 Fall Registration|
Fall registration is open to all students.
|July 27||Fall 2018 Tuition Due Date|
Tuition for the Fall 2018 semester is DUE no later than Friday, July 27, 2018. Payment is due upon registration after July 27th.
|August 13||Fall 2018 Fin Aid Bookstore Charges|
You may begin using your excess Fall 2018 Financial Aid to purchase books beginning Monday, August 13, 2018. Your aid must be on your account to do so. The last day to purchase books using your aid is Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
|August 19||Fall 2018 Last day to drop for 100% Refund –First 8 Week Session|
Classes begin Monday, August 20, 2018. You will receive a 100% tuition refund for dropping from the Fall 2018 First 8 Week Session PRIOR to August 20th.
Students that drop ON or AFTER Monday, August 20th, will be charged in accordance with the SUNY Tuition Refund Policy.

|August 20||Fall 2018 25% Tuition Refund – First 8 Week Session|
You will receive a 25% tuition refund (75% charge) for dropping beginning Monday, August 20th through Sunday, August 26th.
There is NO tuition refund for the Fall 2018 First 8 Week Session for withdrawing AFTER August 26th.
|August 22||First 8 Weeks - Last day to add without signatures|
This is the last day students can add a First 8 Weeks section without the instructors approval.
|August 24||Fall 2018 Residency Forms Due|
Failure to submit a Residency Application and/or Certificate to the Student Accounts Office by August 24th will result in having your tuition charges “doubled.” ALL students MUST submit a Residency Application/Certificate each year. Contact the Student Success Center at 585-345-6805 for more information. Follow the instructions on the Student Accounts webpage.
|August 26||First 8 Weeks - Census - last day to add or drop|
This is the last day a student can drop a First 8 Weeks section and not receive a grade.
|September 18||Fall 2018 Last Day to Obtain a Residency Certificate – First 8 Week Session|
Counties are only required to issue residency certificates for the first 30 days of a semester. Tuesday, September 18th is the last day your County is required to issue a certificate for the First 8 Week session.
|September 18||Fall 2018 Last Day for Bookstore Vouchers|
This is the last day you may use your excess Fall 2018 Financial Aid to purchase textbooks.
|September 19||First 8 Weeks - Withdrawal period ends|
This is the last day for Students withdrawing from a First 8 Weeks class to receive a grade of "W" on their transcript for the course. After this date they will receive a grade of "F".
|September 20||First 8 Weeks - Grade of "F" begins|
Student withdrawing from a First 8 Weeks class beginning on this date will receive a grade of "F" on their transcript for the course.
|October 01||2019 Spring Registration*|
Students who have earned at least 1 credit hour at Genesee Community College are eligible to register for Spring courses beginning on this date.
|October 05||Web Grading for 1st 8 weeks begins|
Web Grading is opened for Faculty submission of 1st 8 week grades beginning on this date.
|October 08||2019 Spring Registration|
Spring registration is open to all students.
|October 13||Last Day of Classes (First 8-Week Session)|
|October 13||First 8 Weeks - Ends|
All First 8 Weeks Classes end on this date.
|October 19||Fall 1st 8 week web grading ends - grades must be entered by 12:00 pm|
Faculty must have grades submitted on the web by 12:00pm on this day.
|November 09||Spring and Summer 2018 IP Deadline|
All instructors must submit a Grade Change Form by this date for students who were issued a grade of "IP" in the last Spring and Summer Semester.
|April 12||Fall 2018 IP Deadline|
All instructors must submit a Grade Change Form by this date for students who were issued a grade of "IP" in the last Fall Semester.
