About GCC’s Food Pantry

The Genesee Community College (GCC) Food Pantry, located on the Batavia campus, has served hundreds of visitors throughout the years by providing fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable food, as well as toiletries and other personal care items for free to the GCC community. The food pantry is operated by the Office of Student Engagement & Inclusion (SEI) in partnership with Foodlink, a Rochester-based nonprofit organization. We share their mission to end hunger and build a healthier community by fighting food insecurity.

Anyone wishing to donate food, personal care items, or cash to the GCC’s Food Pantry can do so year-round! Shelf-stable food and personal care items can be taken directly to the SEI office in the Student Union or dropped in any labeled food pantry donation bin throughout GCC’s Batavia campus. Please check each item you intend to donate and make sure it is not expired, damaged, or opened. If you would like to donate refrigerated or frozen food, please contact us in advance to ensure that we can accommodate your donation. Thank you– We are grateful for all of our donors!
